NAPOLI sports director, Giovanni Manna, has revealed the exact date when Scotland star Scott McTominay will return to training.
And he has been given the all-clear to return for Scotland's Nations League games in November.
The midfielder was operated on in Manchester last week to correct irregular heart rhythms and won't be part of new manager Sebastien Pocognoli's new-look international squad, which will be announced tomorrow.
But Napoli's Manna has revealed the ex-Manchester United star will return to training next week.
He said: "Scott McTominay should join the squad after our game against Fiorentina on Sunday, September 20. He will resume full training after a fitness test.
"And Scott should then be available for the first match after the international break against Frosinone on October 10."
McTominay is then expected to be available for Scotland's final games in the tournament against North Macedonia and Switzerland in November.
The former Manchester United star was checked after being substituted against Como and a mild benign arrhythmia was discovered. That prompted the surgery.
And his club noted it had been a complete success. They posted recently: "McTominay will rest for two weeks and then resume training."
And the player himself insisted he would "see Napoli soon".
