POLICE have launched an appeal to trace a missing teenager after his car was found crashed into a telegraph pole in Ayrshire.
Johnny Wilson, 18, was last seen by his family in the Dalry area at around 8pm on Saturday, September 19.
His car was found around 12 hours later after crashing into a telegraph pole near Auchengree Road, between Longbar and Highfield.
Police said the vehicle was discovered at around 8.30am on Sunday, September 20.
Johnny is described as being around 5ft 9in tall, of athletic build, with short dark hair.
It is not known what clothing he is currently wearing.
Sergeant Greg Cuthbert said: “I would appeal for anyone who has seen Johnny or has any information where he may be to please get in touch as soon as possible.
“We need to ensure he is safe and well.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0840 of Sunday, 20 September, 2026.”
