HISTORICAL FACTS: Second man charged over police database breach - Caught on Camera

A second man has been charged over an incident where private information and police data were allegedly accessed and distributed.

In September 2025, officers attached to a northern region command commenced an investigation after reports of unauthorised access of the police computer system in the state's north.

A 47-year-old sergeant attached to a command in the northern region was charged in relation to the incident.

Following further inquiries, on Wednesday September 23 a second man aged 42 was charged with access/modify restricted data held in computer.

He is due to appear before Belmont Local Court on November 2.
