Many drivers like to personalise their cars to make them their own.
But some motorists won't be aware that doing so could mean that they not only fail their MOT but can also be hit with a fine for it. Having simple decorations in your car can diminish the driver's visibility - which is a big no no while on the roads.
Michael Bourne, group marketing director at National Tyres and Autocare said that something as simple as a rearview mirror car accessory can lead to your car failing its MOT due to failure of visibility. If you are caught driving without an MOT it can lead to a £1,000 fine. If your vehicle is considered to be dangerous you can be fined £2,500, even if your MOT is still valid.
