"Star Wars" is, hands down, one of the most popular and successful franchises in history. From movies and TV series to video games and tabletop games, there is so much to enjoy if you're a "Star Wars" fan.
On the video game front, a new title is set to be released very soon. Here's what you should know about "Star Wars Zero Company" before its release.
'Star Wars Zero Company'
"Star Wars Zero Company" is a single-player turn-based tactics game set during the twilight of the Clone Wars. According to StarWars.com, the story follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads Zero Company, an unconventional group of professionals recruited from across the galaxy. The squad is tasked with investigating an emerging threat that could consume the galaxy if left unchecked.
The story centers on Zero Company's efforts to stop the mysterious threat while dealing with the tensions between its unlikely members. Electronic Arts' announcement says the game features an original "Clone Wars" story, with players undertaking tactical operations and investigations across the galaxy.
"Star Wars Zero Company" is developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, with Electronic Arts serving as publisher.
Release Date and Platform
"Star Wars Zero Company" is scheduled for release on August 27, 2026.
The game will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. For PC, it can be purchase through Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.

Gameplay
"Star Wars Zero Company" is a single-player, turn-based tactics game where players command a squad of Operators during tactical battles. According to EA, players must carefully plan their squad's movement, positioning, and abilities to outmaneuver enemies on changing battlefields. The game features different character archetypes, including Clone Troopers, astromechs, scoundrels, and a Jedi, each offering different tactical options.
Players can also customize their squad's appearances, loadouts, abilities, and combat specializations to suit their preferred playstyle. StarWars.com explains that squadmates can develop bonds during missions, unlocking combat synergies that can influence battles.
Between missions, players can manage their base of operations, recruit Operators, gather intelligence, and prepare their squad for future operations.
Editions and Pricing
A Standard Edition will be released, priced at $49.99 for PC and $59.99 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will include just the base game. However, those who pre-ordered will get the the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack, which includes an R3 droid, crystalline R4/R5 head cosmetics, and the BR-1 droid.
The Deluxe Edition will also be released and will include everything that the Standard Edition has. In addition, those who purchase this will also get the Grand Army of the Republic Cosmetic Pack, Shadow Collective Cosmetic Pack, and five exclusive painted weapon themes.
It should be noted that these are cosmetic additions and does not affect the game whatsoever.
