Since the game’s release on Feb. 4, 2019, all 30 seasons in total, including the Preseason. It wasn’t until Wild Frontier—the first official season that was released on March 19, over a month after the game’s surprise arrival on live servers—that fans got battle passes.
In Season 2, Respawn Entertainment introduced Ranked play, giving competitive players a way to build their skills. From then on, fans have been treated to several changes to the base game with each new season.
Apex looks wildly different from when it initially launched, now having 28 legends, six battle royale maps, and 29 weapons—a significant increase in each category compared to the game’s early days.

What’s new in Apex’s Season 29?
Apex Legends Season 29 has brought new gameplay ideas and important quality-of-life changes. The biggest highlight of this Season is the new Skirmisher legend, Axle, who specializes in sliding and moving quickly around the map. He uses his sliding to build charges, boost his movement speed, and fire shots that deal extra damage at close range, making him perfect for aggressive, in‑your‑face fights.
Another major change is Deathbox Respawns. It now lets you revive knocked teammates directly at their deathbox instead of running all the way to a beacon, speeding up the process. The map also gets small tweaks with some zip rails and tridents removed to make areas easier to control and create more combat spaces.
Several legends, including Vantage and Conduit, have received small buffs and adjustments to fix weak spots and give them more flexibility.
