Given two runs for Saturday's time trials, Tudhope finished the course in 51.26 seconds to qualify second for the LL2 round-of-16 at the Milan-Cortina Games.
He trailed Italian rival Emanuel Perathoner by 3.27 seconds, with China's Sun Qi finishing third-fastest in Cortina.
