DARK SECRETS: Ugc net 2026 result and answer key date announced by nta - The Real Truth

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the results and final answer keys for UGC-NET 2026 covering 84 subjects this week, the agency said on Wednesday. The results will be available on the NTA website along with the outcomes of CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026.

UGC-NET results 2026: NTA issues update

The testing agency said candidates should follow its official channels for information related to the results.

"The final answer keys and results for UGC-NET (84 Subjects), CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 will be published on NTA's website, this week. Candidates are advised to rely only on official communications from NTA," the agency said in a post on X.

The announcement comes after the NTA made changes to the examination process for three UGC-NET subjects following a review of the question papers.

Why were UGC-NET exams conducted again?

The NTA had ordered fresh examinations for candidates who appeared for the English, Commerce and Sociology papers in June.

An expert committee examining the papers found factual, typographical, translation and language-related errors in the questions. Following the review, the agency decided to conduct the three examinations again.

The NTA released the UGC-NET answer key on August 16, almost two months after the examination. It also issued a special notice related to the English, Commerce and Sociology papers.

Later that day, the agency announced that fresh examinations for the three subjects would be held in September.

UGC-NET re-exam dates

The re-examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology are scheduled for September 9 and 10.

Candidates appearing for the fresh examinations will not have to pay an additional examination fee.

The results being announced this week will cover 84 UGC-NET subjects, while the fresh examination process for the three affected papers will take place in September.

What is UGC-NET?

The National Eligibility Test, or UGC-NET, is conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for appointment as assistant professors and for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

The examination is used for eligibility in universities and colleges across India. Candidates awaiting the 2026 results can check the final answer keys and results through the official NTA website once they are released.
