Anubis – BetBoom’s CT side sets up a win – 13-10

mezii’s 1v1 clutch on B started the map off in Vitality’s favor, but BetBoom stole the economic advantage thanks to Magnojez’s FAMAS bursting in from CCTV in the forcebuy. mezii then earned a lone gun round for Vitality with the full buy, but BB retained control of the map for a 6-2 lead. With everyone from BetBoom pulling their weight, the Brit was consistently the difference maker. He alone kept Vitality barely afloat with a 4-8 scoreline at half time.

A pistol win for Boomb14’s crew further extended their lead over the world number one, but ZywOo’s Desert Eagle was enough to make the second round force-buy deadly. And while BB was up to matchpoint, a second Deagle round suddenly swung the momentum completely the other way. With that little bit of confidence back in their aim, Vitality were making an ever-familiar comeback materialise. That’s when BetBoom stars Magnojez and zorte turned around a 2v4 to close the out the map in style.

Overpass – Vitality strike back – 13-8

Showing their incredible resilience, Vitality were fully ready to compete by the time Overpass came around. The pistol win gave way to a streak of five round wins for Vitality to open the map. That’s when IGL Boomb14 knuckled down on the B defence, dropping three attackers, and handing BetBoom their first round win.

Vitality were looking disjointed, offerering 1v1 duels that the sharp aimers of BetBoom were more than happy to accept. Three rounds in a row, the Russian side blocked Vitality’s attack, with Magnojez and zorte once again stepping up. With protocols failing, Vitality turned to their players’ aim instead. And that paid dividends for the international side, as they returned to winning ways for a 9-3 half.

Much like their opponents, BetBoom took advantage of the T-side pistol win to close the gap down by three. Unfortunately their first-half didn’t do them many favors, and the chance to win Overpass was quickly snatched away by Vitality 13-8.

Nuke – Dominance from BetBoom stuns Vitality – 13-8

The trend of T-side pistol wins continued into Nuke, but unlike Overpass, Vitality were unable to convert it into a streak of wins. Instead, BetBoom brought out an aggressive CT playbook, as they consistently secured the opening kills, with rounds following right behind. The Russian side put together a massive 10-2 half, setting themselves up well for a series win.

A pistol win was the last thing Vitality wanted to concede, but a quick outside wrap into heaven from BetBoom ensured that result. Much like the first half, Vitality were able to steal the force-buy win, converting it into a streak of five rounds in a row as mezii dominated on the CT side. Unfortunately, with just two rounds from their attack, BetBoom could simply trip into a map win, and they did that with a sublime Tec9 double from s1ren, turning around a 5v3 into a knockout blow for Vitality.
