Harry Potter tries on the Sorting Hat and plays Quidditch in the brand new HBO series trailer.
The clip, released on Wednesday (2 September), shows various iconic moments from J.K. Rowling’s first book in the series, like Harry, played by Dominic McLaughlin, being sorted into Gryffindor and looking into the Mirror of Erised.
Characters Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger are also captured cheering Harry on during a Quidditch match, played by Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton respectively.
The series, which aims to adapt each of Rowling's seven books over a decade, was renewed for a second season in May and will premiere its first season, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, on Christmas Day on HBO Max.
