- Meanwhile, an updated version of the iPhone Air will arrive at the same time, along with a new iPhone 18e.
- It comes as a chip shortage grips the industry, with the company saying in its most recent earnings call that it was struggling to purchase enough chips to match demand for its current smartphone offerings.
