Flight disruption is continuing into Thursday, after an air traffic issue which has caused over 2,000 flights to be cancelled in the UK.
Tens of thousands of passengers have been impacted by the disruption, which caused 1,750 flights to be cancelled on Tuesday and a further 327 on Wednesday, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
The national air traffic control provider (NATS) said the fault was the result of an issue in their “flight processing system”.
NATS boss Martin Rolfe apologised for the disruption, promising that there would be a full investigation into the issue.
