Whether it is get-rich-quick schemes or a bargain from an unknown seller, the rising cost of living is forcing many consumers to seek alternative ways of saving or making money. And scammers are jumping on that situation, often tricking victims into making quick bank transfers rather than using other, more secure, payment methods.
With no let up in scammers’ pursuit of consumers’ personal information and ultimately money, Which? is warning against unwittingly handing over money to fraudsters – and has identified five bank transfer scams to look out for next year.
