Connor Barron has endured a difficult start to his loan at Middlesbrough and is yet to make his debut.
The Rangers outcast was named on the bench for Boro's Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace but didn't make it on the pitch, and wasn't in the matchday squad for Championship games against Millwall and Philippe Clement's Norwich City.
It will be a source of frustation for the midfielder after leaving Rangers on loan in search of game time, but his manager Kim Hellberg insists there will be opportunities for a player who is training well.
It is just that, for the moment, nobody in the side deserves to drop out.
Hellberg told The Northern Echo: “They’re here now, and they are fit Rokas has had some minutes. It’s tougher for Connor because he came late, and we have a lot of players.
“He’s training very well and we’ve had a good chat. He's ready, and there will be chances for him to show that.

"But because we have a lot of players, to take one player in means you have to take someone else out.
“For the moment, all of the players except Alfie [Jones, injured], are probably in for debate of being in the squad. That's the competition you want.
“We’ve been playing a lot of Tuesday/Wednesday games, so it's been not so much in training. But I can’t fault Rokas or Connor - both of them are doing very, very well.
"They're training, they are fighting, they are good people, and they’ve come into the group well. They will get chances, and when they get chances, they need to take them.
"For some of the new players coming in late, it's also about getting into it. And for some of them, they just need to get the chance.
