Fans are keen for Jenna Ortega's character to display more emotion in the upcoming season of Wednesday, especially after she previously said she hadn’t cried since her pet scorpion died.
The Netflix show has been teasing the potential death of Wednesday's best friend, Enid Sinclair, which fans have speculated could be the catalyst for an emotional moment.
A behind-the-scenes image showing Wednesday looking distressed has fuelled fan theories, although some have suggested it could be part of a body-swap storyline.
However, both Ortega and Emma Myers, who plays Enid, have dismissed the body-swap theory, with Ortega calling it a “crime” and Myers saying she prefers to stick to her character.
The final four episodes of the new season of Wednesday are scheduled for release on 3 September.
