Hey there, fellow reader, glad you’re here! Quick question: how many books did you buy last month versus how many did you actually finish? Uh-huh, that’s what we thought.
And that emotional attachment to fictional characters that’s honestly a bit concerning? Still going strong? Don’t worry, we’re not judging. Okay, maybe a little, but only because we’re doing the exact same thing. It’s just what happens when you truly love literature.
Since we’re all clearly in this together, we’ve gathered some hilarious posts from the Book Memes subreddit. They capture what being a bookworm is really all about. Take a look and see how many hit close to home.

Book Hangovers! Who Else Can Relate?
💯
Well, when we bought a house, we specifically found one with a room that we could devote as a dedicated library. (It is, alas, too small, but I'm looking into ordering a TARDIS to stuff in the closet in there. In the meantime, we're double-stacking the shelves.) We also have a new dishwasher.

Who Can Relate LOL🤣
How True
Heck, I spent over a year and a half writing a novel in full knowledge that it *couldn't* be published. (I was playing with not one, but *two* sets of intellectual property owned by others.) I wrote it to scratch a mental itch, to see if I *could* write it, and to answer a few questions. There was an old Doc Savage novel I liked, but the ending was badly unsatisfying. Then I read a non-fiction book about the 1939 New York World's Fair, which mentioned an unsolved-to-this-day terrorist bombing at the Fair. Slowly my mind combined these two things, and once I had the thought to glue them together with the Fourth Doctor Who, I was off and running. Researching it was a blast, and I welded together Doc Savage continuity, Dr. Who continuity, and real-life honest to goodness History. You can read "Paradocs" for free on FanFiction dot net.

Sure, like the novels of Terry Pratchett. For many years, he wasn't published in the US, so we had to get ours from Britain. Josh Kirby painted beautiful covers. Then Pratchett started getting popular in the States, and the sellers here started getting books published in the US. US publishers printed boring covers. Once he became super-popular, they went back to the British covers.
