Chip was a malnourished orange kitten suffering from a severe eye infection when an experienced foster caregiver named Nadija discovered him at a county animal shelter. Despite already caring for twelve other animals, she couldn't leave him behind. After undergoing surgery to remove his damaged eye, Chip faced several more health challenges, including a swollen paw and severe constipation that left veterinarians searching for answers. Nadija documented his digestive troubles online, where his struggle to finally use the bathroom independently became an unexpected sensation. Eventually, veterinarians discovered that hookworms were contributing to his problems, and with appropriate treatment and dietary changes, Chip began improving. As his health recovered, his playful, affectionate personality emerged, complete with an adorable wobbly walk and a love for cuddles. Thankfully, his story ended happily when a family who had previously adopted animals from Nadija welcomed him into their home, where he now enjoys life alongside his feline siblings.
