Girl. I have been saying this forever. I completely understand. IT is so frustrating and hypocritical. But....it wont stop. It makes them feel good to constantly put us down and, unlike other nationalities, no one seems to care if we are unfairly generalized or picked on in every post. They just laugh. BUT...you BETTER not do the same to other nationalities! Oh no, then you are a horrible, ignorant American bigot. The double standard around here is REAL. I have learned to just ignore and keep on moving...unless it is completely out of line...then I say something...to a chorus of downvotes, of course. SMH.
You could also Google it instead of making fun of the US. I fully understand that we're a total third world country with a Gucci belt, and I definitely have my issues with this country, but it IS my home along with billions of other people. Gotta be honest, I know we make it easy, but ridiculing us is starting to get old. I know I'm going to get down voted and possibly banned for a day because how dare I actually defend the US, but I don't care anymore. Stop it just sometimes, okay? Please just sometimes? We're really not THAT bad. Obviously there's a lot of room for improvement, but give us a break just sometimes.
