My Beloved City Of Chicago In Watercolor Paintings

Thank you, Petra! For most of them I used reference photos (Cloud gate and the one with a street light on it, the lighthouse), The Tribune tower (the smaller version), the rail road (partially) are sketched on the spot - so it's 30/70 so far. I hope to make it 80/20 in summer when the weather is nicer :)

I Taught Myself Watercolor And Left My Cushy Corporate Job 9 Months Later

Those are really cute! I'M a self-taught artist as well and my dream is to quit my office job as well and devote my life to art. Any tips how to switch your occupation?

Not from zero of course. I took architectural drawing classes back when I was I student. But drawing shapes (cubes, spheres and architectural elements) is a completely different from watercolor and animals:)
