So. Posting this on social media definitely is weird, creepy and definitely inappropriate. But the party itself? If they have a good relationship with their daughter, it's a nice idea. First period *can* be scary, especially if sex-ed in your school sucks or is nonexistent. Painful, too. This way at least poor child will identify it also with something nice. I'd prefer that than my mom awkwardly-whispering about "well... when girl reaches certain age... ugh... you know..."
