I gave my car a name and talked about her the same way your ex girlfriend does. I love my car because it is my dream car. Also, you're lucky she didn't throw your judgmental self off on the side of the road. Next time be appreciative when someone does you a favor.

Why bother? The father has clearly made his choice - the woman he is f*****g and her mentally deficient daughter. There’s no point in meeting him unless it’s for the OP’s own benefit. Let him stew and fume, let the moron dressmaker fail in her chosen life, let the stepmother wonder why her darling daughter is such a dismal failure; but most of all let them do so from a goodly distance that doesn’t impact your own life.
