Wanna know the sad part about these, from someone who has been through the system for years? 1. If you make ANY kind of income at all, you are disqualified. 2. No matter how urgent your problem is you are not getting into one of these places in less than a month from asking (and I am underestimating.) 3. The health care that they provide uou is the absolute minimum that they can give you to get you on your way. Not to mention the fact that they don't treat so many different things, and there are NO programs to help people get and stay sober. Believe me I had to nearly die coming off alcohol without insurance. It's a give no s**ts program. At least in jail they have dental once a month.

Nah. They kept me in solitary for the rest of my time in (3 months). I was "too dangerous" for Gen pop, and everyone was always either scared of me, or just didn't get me when I was in it anyways. I didn't belong there, I was not like the rest, I know everyone says this but I TRULY DIDN'T do anything to be there. My "man" of 6 years woke up, and beat the s**t out of me, he didn't want to wake up, but I truly needed him at the time. After 6 years of taking every kind of abuse possible I got angry. (which I had never done because A. He had me under some "spell" after years of gaslighting, and isolation. So much so I catered to his every need, and walked on eggshells around him, because I didn't want him to stop talking to me. He was the ONLY person around, because we lived in the middle of nowhere. And B. I was stuck in that situation, because he had custody of our son, and I WAS NOT leaving him there without protection) I threw a cup of coffee at his feet, and it splashed up on him. After that I was tackled, and beaten bloody. I left to go to the one other place around... His parents house. The people who enabled him to do this, and always refused to help me, or let me call the police. They let me call my dad to come get me, and while I was waiting for him to come the police showed up. This little b***h of a man called them when I stood up for myself for the first time.I told the story covered in blood, and bruses, and -I- ended up in cuffs, and absolutely NOTHING happened to him. In a small south GA town like that everyone knows everyone... Including the police, and they had been friends with them for YEARS. I ended up with a simple battery charge and 10 months in jail. So when I say I didn't belong there, the little mouse of a beaten down woman I was meant it. I stuck out like a sore thumb, and people wanted to try me. Honestly I have to say that was the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life, that separation, time to think, and "find myself" was a true blessing. I found a book in jail about domestic violence, read it cover to cover, and was able to see what had happened to me. I was happy with that time (That I believed with all my heart that God, or the universe, or whatever higher 8s out thwre gifted me) I needed it to sort some s**t out with myself. I found gratitude, to look for the good in life, found my higher power and learned to live with acceptance (accept the things you cannot change, and change the things you can) because I came out stronger, confident, and 100X happier. Iwent back... For a week... He COULD NOT accept who I had, become. Someone he could no longer push around, and break. I did the most heartbreaking thing I had ever done, and left my son with him yo go make a better life for him. I DID THAT over the next year I fought to find the place I belonged, and made it happen for us. We are comfortable in a nice home, with a man who loves us with all his heart. We are stable and happy. I know you didn't want my life story, but thank you for reading it anyways... It felt good to get it out there... But believe me this is only a small portion of all the s**t I have been through in my life, I think I could make a 700 page biography, and sill not remember it all. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Every movie I have ever watched before covid is all new to discover again, same with books! So I can sink back into the ones I remembered I loved, and they are all new for me to discover why again.

I have disassociate Identy disorder, when I "switch" into that protective personality I get this. I am 5'4, and 145 pounds, "I ame back" from a loss of time in solitary confinement. Apparently I took down the biggest, meanest girl in the jail, and broke 1 arm, 3 fingers, and THREW her 5 feet into a metal bunk bed where she cracked her skull. I didn't get any extra time, because they were made aware of my condition when I entered the jail.

I have sever mental health problems (Not schizo effective disorder, nor full blown schizophrenia) I have this "voice" that usually tries to calm, and help me. This backfires on me sometimes when I get insomnia, because it's telling me the things to do so I can get some sleep (grounding, meditation, music ect.) And that just keeps me more awake. I never knew this was a thing, I thought this was just me (I have dissociative identity disorder from sever repeated early childhood trauma.), and the people like me , I thought it was just one of my "others.

I feel that strange sense of loss to about my brain functioning. I didn't have a concussion, but I have covid brain fog so bad that I swear that I have lost a good 25% of my brain power. I had covid in August, I STILL have the fog, and I think I am stuck with it, and that used to make me really sad and threw me into a very deep depression. I KNOW that I can't do the things I used to or think with the same way I used to. It sucks. Look in to Ketimine treatments, I didn't get rid of the brain fog, but I did accept this is the new way of things, learn to be okay with it , and learn to live with my new way of thinking. I am still way more stupid than I was before.

My fiancée, and I met in 2002, I was 15, and he was 23 (Yes I know this was illegal, but to be fair I lied to him when I met himz I told him I was 18 (we met online). I had been through so much trauma, that I was way more mature than any 15 year old gas the right to be. This man is my rock. He has stayed by me through so much c**p that I put him through over the years, I broke his heart in to a million pieces more than once. I have been in multiple other (abusive), 5 kids, me lying to him, alcoholism, and many many other things (I know this doesn't make me sound like a great person, but I have horrible abandonment issues, I don't know how to be alone, and have a laundry list of MH issues). He is the only person in the world who has NEVER given up on me, seeing something in me that I never saw in myself, he was ALWAYS in my corner no matter what happened. We could go without talking for months at a time, and I could call him out of nowhere and it would be like nothing changed, he would help me how ever he could if help is what I needed without a second thought, he refused to change his number for this exact reason. For 15 years without, even being in the same room breathing the same air as me, he was the only person I could depend on. I don't know where I would be had I have not had support from at least one person in my life. This man waited for me for 15 years to get my s**t straight, finally start believing in myself, and seeing that a quiet comfort was 100x more attractive than a lusty burning fire of beginning a relationship wiyh a person that was just going to take another piece of my identity or soul away from me. He was a virgin when I met him, having only even been in one other 2 week relationship along the way. When I actually met him face to face, no one else in the wotld 3xisted for me because this man is truly the other half of my soul, my best friend, and what keeps me and my issues together most days. Now that we have been together for 5 years I always think hos stupid I was to not have just waited the 6 months to be with him. (I emancipated myself at 16) I wonder who I would have become, with him by my side, about how much trauma I could have avoided, and what life we could have had, I regret everyday that I should have spent with him. It scares the ever-loving- s**t out of me because I know now what safety, happiness, and being loved truly feels like, and I know that if I ever lost him, I don't think I would love long after he left me.

I agree with everything that you said except hair care products. I have galaxy hair (think pinks, blues, greens and purple) My hair has been like this for over 15 years, so with all the bleaching, and coloring my hair is fried. BUT my stylist says that I have the most healthy hair she has seen on anyone she dyes (basic dyes included) It is because my stepmother (a high end stylest) once told me if you want healthy hair it is a chore, and I should be buying the best products I can afford. I follow yhese steps 1first and formost I only wash my hair every one to too weaks. In the beginning of spacing out my washes it sucks, your hair DOES get oily. Keep it off your face by doing a ponytail or something. Go as long as you can stand it THEN wash it. Your hair gets trained to not get oily until a day or 2 before uou actually need to wash it. 2.Wash only your roots with shampoo, and let the shampoo run down my hair instead of ruffing up your with shampoo, use fingertips, never nails to massage it into the scalp. Shampoo wipes out all the good natural oils, and makes your hair more prone to get oily to replace it. 3. Only condition the strands, and try to keep it off the scalp because it clogs the folical. 4 dry your hair with an old tee shirt, only squeeze dry. The material on a normal towel rips at the cuticles of uout hair, and roughing it up to dry it does the same. 5. Finish with it's a 10 miracleleave in treatment (about 25$ a bottle but worth every penny. By doing ALL OF THIS I only have to buy shampoo/conditioner like once every 8 months, and it's a 10 like once every year or so. So I DO buy the more expensive products, but I have to buy them WAAY less often, adding up to about the same cost.
