I think it's just pointing out the things he went through and his determination to finish the paining and keep on working hard

Wow! Amazing work. I can easily see it as a featured exhibit at an art museum. I'm so glad that you could paint through your pain and create something that the whole world can enjoy. This is a true masterpiece!
