This happened to my cousin. Apparently she was having a destination wedding down in the keys. Her fiance booked the flights for her parents and herself, but "forgot" his wallet and would take the next flight. He never showed up, he never booked the hotel or the restaurant. He checked himself into a mental institution back home.
