If you believe that. The only boycotting that's really going on is merely rants online about boycotting. I go to 3 grocery stores, regularly. People are finding it hard to maintain a healthy, varied diet eating local only. Plus, USA imported produce tends to be going on sale, and if you live in the prairies, you love a good deal over political matters and what social media is trying to influence. Produce has been steadily rising in cost astronomically. I ain't buying apples for $4-5 per pound. Bananas were .79 a pound last year. Now they're .99 per lb. Don't get me started on nuts and meat. If I see a sale for blueberries for $2.99 a box, down from $7.99 a box, I don't care where they're from. I'll buy them so I can keep a solid diet.

Everybody wants super powers.

I wouldn't classify incarceration in ICE prisons or Guantanamo Bay as "emergency housing". /s

I've had cancer 4 times. My costs amounted to having to pay a subsidised rate for parking as an out patient. Americans squawk about us having higher taxes (maybe, maybe not) but once you add in their health insurance costs, health care costs, med costs, ambulance costs etc plus stories like this we come out way ahead. And - I have the *freedom* to enjoy my retirement.

I lost my wallet a few times. Used to have to bring my birth certificate and another piece of ID to the bank. I've had to replace my birth certificate 2 times. Both times I had a conundrum of needed to pay for my replacement, but I needed a birth certificate as one of 2 pieces of ID in order to replace my bank card. I needed more ID to replace my birth certificate. Luckily, I know my Social Insurance Number by heart.

Just think. They likely won't have pieces of ID and bank cards on them because they either lost them, or got stolen.
