I am a middle aged, macro enthusiast, hobby shooter from Western Australia with a keen interest in arachnids and other inverts. Peacock spiders are my passion with 2 new species discoveries and an unwavering desire to find more! Being part of the Citizen Science movement, I travel to various areas in WA in search of peacock spiders during their adult season. I am constantly searching my local areas in an effort to help document distributions of these amazing arachnids through some dedicated outlets/groups/individuals in Australia such as WA Museum, Project Maratus and some other Entomologists/Taxonomists. My most recent personal project is to find, document and share the incredible number of things that can be found in our suburban backyards or homes. This is in an effort to get people to really look in their houses, their gardens and seeing what is actually there. I am hoping to create an appreciation of nature's incredible resilience to survival in our modern world and that not everything is "scary" or "bad"!
