The reason people s**t on ozempic is because it’s just a medical version of every other quick fix diet trend. They’re now talking about ozempic bounce back where most people regain the weight after stopping ozempic (I just looked up one study that said people regained 2/3rds of the weight they lost in the first year). And somehow people are shocked this happens?? If you don’t fix the underlying diet/exercise/hormonal issues, then there’s no point in taking ozempic. Studies have also found that overweight people tend to overestimate their calories burned and underestimate their calories consumed. Long story short, it’s hard to believe someone when they say they’re eating a calorie deficit and not losing weight because it’s almost never true (excluding the cases where people have a hormonal medicinal condition that needs to be addressed in which case that’s what the doctor should be looking into and not prescribing quick fix medications).

It is the same place. And it’s awful. This town on Santorini island was the worst, most overcrowded tourist place I’ve ever been… and I’ve been to Rome. Only topped perhaps by the Vatican (which I think is worth it for the culture/art history). Do not go.

I told the husband of one of my dearest friends that his wife was sneaking out at night to go to bars alone to drink, and that two other of our "friends" were covering for her. I then wrote her a letter saying how much I loved her and worried about her, but understood if she never spoke to me again. She called me the night before she left for rehab, still hurt and angry but acknowledging that her mother had pointed out how much I must care to put myself in that position. When she got back from rehab, she was a new person and thanked me for saving her life. Unfortunately the damage was done to her marriage, but she eventually met another man and led her best, sober life. Several years later, COVID took her, but I swear I feel her with me every day.

"Our first song is called 'A******s Everywhere'. It's in A minor and going out to a major douchebag over by the bar."

Also agree with this. The fact that his first instinct is to dump his daughter speaks volumes and makes me think she would be better off without him in her life in the long run. He doesn’t seem like someone that would treat her well after this revelation (who knows how he treated her before). No father is probably better than a s**t father. Everyone is the AH in this one - the father, mother and friend.

I think this is a really good and nuanced response. Of course, the right answer is to not pass any blame onto the child and to continue to be her father… but as you said realistically not everyone is capable of that. If this guy is going to let his resentment affect the way he treats his daughter then leaving might be in her best interest. Still a s****y thing to do, but it’s better than staying and treating her like c**p because of something her mother did. Ideally he would get therapy to see if he can overcome this for his daughter’s sake before throwing in the towel.

Sorry, but wtf? Her conclusion is that she will not talk to married men?? I get the wife is angry at being left with two kids while he doesn't work, but that is a HIM issue, not OP's. Imo, everyone* is allowed to talk** to everyone*. (*Strangers, **chit chat).

Literally walked out of a restaurant last week when we were informed we had to scan the menu, which required providing personal information, and then, in addition, you had to place your order from their app. Bye.

People going in expecting $1000 service for $100.

I watched a video about how these digital locks are super easy to break into. It’s almost like not having a lock.
