Kendra Ann Thomas has been writing stories since she was in Mrs. Jewell’s first grade class for dyslexic learners. After learning to remove the labels of her disability, she went on to become a writer, teacher, theatre director, principal, and counselor. She is the author of the The Struggles, 2014 winner of the A+ Playwriting Contest for Teachers from Pioneer Drama Service and several forthcoming plays. She is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and Lamar University, where she recently obtained her doctorate in Education. She lives in San Antonio, Texas, where she enjoys working with her 'drama babies' and writing young adult plays for students across the nation.
