When I was 19 I ended up having bowel surgery and needed to be on IV nutrition for awhile so my digestive system could rest. Even though I was recovering from MAJOR abdominal surgery, I felt the best I ever felt (or have felt since) and to this day (this was in the mid-2000s) I am chasing that feeling again.

I was in hospital once and suffering from a really bad migraine, and the doctor said they could give me some IV meds to make it go away, but the side effects, they said, could be worse. It gave people really bad restless legs for like 10 mins when the meds first hit the system. Well, I thought, I've suffered from restless legs before, it can't be that bad. I was wrong! I felt like I needed to rip my skin off and run around until my legs flew off. I asked the doctor what made it happen, and they said, no one knows. They don't even know what causes restless legs in the first place, let alone why a migraine med flares it up!

I never order delivery except for from my local pizza place which doesn't charge extra fees. If I pay online I always leave a note saying I will tip the delivery driver in cash. I hate the thought of a debit/credit tip maybe not ending up with the right person. Maybe that's what this person was trying to do, to be kind. Instead they just got poisoned!

My dad is going through something similar, after years of being self employed, he wants to just work for a company, without the stress of owning a business etc etc. Fair enough. But he doesn't think he should apply for a job, he thinks with his experience, people should just offer him a job. Um great yeah sure you're good at what you do but...you're not famous. They don't know you or your skills. They don't even know you are available!
