That's nice, but for the rest of us that live in other countries other than the UK, all you're doing is rubbing it in our faces how GREAT healthcare is in the UK and highlighting how terrible healthcare is in America/other places. You're not helping anything or making anyone feel better, you're making us feel worse because WE have to live with the reality that insulin costs hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars a month. Yes, but the problem with that is that most of those uninhabited buildings are in areas far from any jobs or necessities (I think, correct me if I'm wrong)

If I remember correctly, it was because it would take to long to count all the votes by hand, and also to force candidates to consider the needs of the less populated areas, not just the cities (not that they generally seem to consider anyone's needs, but that was the thought)

yes, but (correct me if I'm wrong, which I very well may be) powerful and rich groups can form lobbies (groups that work to support certain ideas in government) that influence politicians for laws that are detrimental to the country (US's gun laws and the NRA for example) and against the will of the people. For example, a rich oil company can say to a politician, "Look, we'll donate truckloads of cash to your campaign, but only if you don't support electric vehicles" And the politician will probably agree. So it gives a small amount of people a very loud voice in government
