Lived in the San Bernardino mountains for 3 winters. There were 2 flights of wood steps just to get to the front door (40 feet above street level). We had an average of 7 feet of snow each winter. 5 in one storm. Everything is wood. This isn't weird.

Awesome! The older generations always took great photos. I remember my grandmothers and grandfathers always looking for the best background and then arranging everyone just so!

They look like a lot of fun! I'd love to see more! I have some stories about my great grandparents from around the time of the Great Depression and prohibition that would make a sailor swear! One was definitely about them getting a donkey drunk on bathtub gin on the Atlantic City boardwalk. They then took him into a hotel and up in the elevator to a party! I wish they were still here to tell me everything!
