You are correct. But also I've done it many times and been just fine. I usually put leftovers in the fridge. Sometimes find it in the rice cooker the next day and eat it anyway. I'm more cautious now because a fun fact I learned is that bringing the rice up to temperature will kill the bacteria but it will NOT get rid of the toxins. The toxin they produce survives the heat. So in my ignorance I used to think I was making it safe by frying it up a bit. BTW, company would never get sketchy stuff like that. Just me when I'm being lazy.

Let's hope it was refrigerated over night. If rice is left standing at room temperature, the spores can grow into bacteria. These bacteria will multiply and may produce toxins (poisons) that cause vomiting or diarrhoea. The longer cooked rice is left at room temperature, the more likely it is that the bacteria or toxins could make the rice unsafe to eat.

There's a theater near where I live where there's a 21+ balcony section, that has sets of duo seats (or singles) with a table in between couples so you have some space and where you can place your adult drinks and food you ordered from the cordoned off bar area at the entrance to the balcony. And you can 'pre-game' at the bar until the film starts. It's an older theater so it's a bit dated but it's my favorite theater, other then Alamo, because of this setup. This actually happened last summer to me... we have a saw tooth oak tree in our back yard, but its acorns kind of look like buckeyes. I knew it was a saw tooth oak tree but my mom, grandpa, and sister (who's never seen a buckeye in her life) all insisted that it was a buckeye tree. I had a buckeye nut that I showed to them and compared it to the acorns but they insisted it was just a darker buckeye. My mom told me to stop arguing and made me feel stupid, in front of my grandpa, too. We got home and I looked it up on my computer and showed it to them, and finally proved them wrong. Felt so good. (Sorry for the paragraph, I love to explain things in detail!)
