Cat Meme Therapy: 100 Posts to Brighten Your Day

That is an iguana, an invasive species here in Florida. They're a HUGE problem. They'll eat pretty much any and all vegetation, except for plants with rigid leaves; they love hibiscus. Their burrows undermine sea walls, foundations and such. They defecate everywhere. There are no natural predators. They reproduce like rabbits, numbers wise. One of the neighborhood cats we were feeding would eat an iguana that size whole, which is one of the most disgusting things I've seen and heard (crunch, crunch, crunch). That cat is now a house cat after we paid a huge vet bill for tom cat injury, so now we have even more iguanas. I hate iguanas with a passion and just last week I said to my wife, "I hate the idea of k*****g animals, but I'm starting to contemplate it." She, also an animal lover, said that I should. p.s. - that's a small one. they easily reach 3 feet in length.

I was bullied at school and my mum tried to deal with it by asking my teacher repeatedly to speak with the bullies. He said he couldn't as it might upset them and their parents, and I needed to "toughen up*. It took one visit from my father (who held the teacher up against the wall in a stairwell and told him that if it happened to me again, he'd come back and "wouldn't be so nice" that time) to solve the issue.

it does work the other way many years ago in Malta with a baby in push chair - mum was off somewhere - queued for a bus, bus arrives - swarmed by old ladies in black took baby, push chair moved people so I sat at front and even think someone paid my fare! - A man, alone, with a baby was an unusual site where we were - when mum did it on her own was a bun fight!
