While I completely understand, as a father of much loved 38 year old daughter, I am not sure that the penalty he received isn't worse. I would completely lose my mind in short order where he is going. Of course I don't know how anyone could (BP self censor) "end, cause other harm, seriously perturb other" and doesn't immediately contact law enforcement. How could you even last a few hours knowing what you did?

I met my first girlfriend at 17 at summer school in St. Andrews, Scotland. We lived in Ohio in the 1970s when we went. Turned out that we lived two blocks away from each other for years and never met previously. She died at 22 and I have never forgotten that I got to live (so far) 46 more years.
