I have put together a craft that I call ChickenWired where shapes are cut from the wire, attached together to create the sculpture. I have been teaching the craft in schools throughout the UK for the last 7 years. There are now over 30 kits or template downloads that can be bought through Etsy for anyone who wants to have a go.
