It's a spotted lanternfly nymph. They are horribly invasive and breed uncontrollably. There was an attempt to stop them from spreading across the USA, but it was a waste of time, there's no stopping the little wotsits. K*****g one, or even hundreds makes no difference.

Did not want to post it at the fascinating photos with wild horses crossing a river. The US: Yay, mustangs! Freedom. Power. Conquering the continent. The supermarkets: We need more meat, shelves might show a tiny gap. The cattle farmers: Mustangs are non-native and eat the grass needed for non-native cattle. BLM: Arranges helicopters and trucks. The mustangs: Get removed to Canada and Mexico to be processed to fog food. The cattle farmers: Yay, space for our non-native cattle. The supermarkets: Yay, more meat.
