Life can feel pretty complicated these days. Between social media, endless news cycles, modern relationships, work stress, parenting, and the constant pressure to keep up with everything, even the smallest everyday situations can start to feel a little overwhelming. Cartoonist E.S. Glenn turns those familiar feelings into sharp, funny, and highly relatable single-panel comics. His work takes ordinary scenes, from therapy sessions and family dinners to classrooms, restaurants, public transport, and even the afterlife, and adds an unexpected twist that makes everyday life look wonderfully absurd.
His work has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, and his cartoons often mix dry humor with subtle commentary about modern society. Whether he is joking about therapy, aging, news media, the internet, or the strange ways people communicate, his panels invite readers to laugh at familiar situations taken just a bit into the surreal.

I learned I'm horrifically allergic to formaldehyde in high school biology. Teacher thought I was just being squeamish until I sneezed hard enough to give myself a bloody nose. That, and the all-over hives were enough to convince her.
I'm not wealthy, but I'd still like to leave my hellhole of a country, plz and thank you :( I can't believe that when I was a dumb child in the 1980s I actually thought America was a great country and that I was proud to live here! In my defense, I was like 7 at the time.
Watch out, he's gonna put on a little hat and start singing "Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal"!
This cartoon isn't very good... but it's still much better than Disclosure Day 😏
If a comic on BP ever confuses you, I encourage you to post a comment on that particular comic asking what it means! A lot of other Pandas are happy to explain. I've done that a few times on posts/comics/etc. that I don't get or don't understand, and others have explained it for me :) I'm not saying that an explanation will make these comics funny all of a sudden (as jokes often are not funny once someone has to explain them to you) but at least they'll make sense!
Load More Replies...I'm not sure I understood very many of these. Never mind - it was still a nice change from the celebrity nonsense and other junk that's filling up BP these days. Thank you.
