I used to work in a hotel as a waitress. We had a place to hang our coats/jackets etc before our shifts started which was at the end of a long corridor, so when you hung your jacket up, you would have your back to the corridor. Now, the manager of the hotel was a very tall and slender gentleman, and one day when I was hanging up my jacket I saw him out of the corner of my eye coming past me through the corridor.. I also felt the wind of a person walking past me.. so I went to turn around to ask him something.. and nobody was there... this corridor was very long and between the time that he passed and I turned around there was no humanly possible way for him to have walked the entire length of the corridor as it was 1-2 seconds after I thought he'd walked past.
I shrugged it off and went to start my shift.. the hairs on the back of my neck and on my arms were sitting upright at this point but never thought any more of it..
Until a few weeks later. There were a few of us sitting at the bar one evening having some drinks after closing when some of the staff began talking about the ghost that haunts the downstairs area of the hotel who everyone mistakes for the manager. That's when it clicked, that bastard ghost had walked right past me those few weeks before.
