A massive "fire bull"—laden with thousands of rockets—charges furiously, spewing a barrage of sparks and fire in all directions during the fire bull festival in Tultepec, Mexico. This is one of Mexico's most dangerous and extraordinary celebrations, where young men—warriors of fire—offer their bodies and blood to San Juan de Dios (the patron saint of pyrotechnics) and Huehueteotl (the god of fire). It is a unique and special festival where people, and even dogs, risk their lives to perform the fire dance while the pyrotechnic bull unleashes a powerful blast of fire upon them.
