I found that when I was confused, the second that I looked at the song titles the backing track came on in my head, and then it was easy to pick the title. Kiss was probably the hardest until I imagined saying that in a falsetto (or sounding like Tom Jones). I like that they made it more challenging with multiple songs from the same artist / group.

An embarrassing number of these ring NO bells, but I was able to recognize them by trying to sing the words to the tunes that were options. “Shyin’” gave that one away, as only a non-native speaker would invent that word. ☺️ And I got the very first one by imagining the lyrics and heard the lead singer’s caterwaul. I think it was in puberty that I’d run down the hall and launch myself into the air, spin, and when I landed, belt out “And the waitress is practicing politics as the businessman slowly gets s****d; they’re sharing a drink called ‘loneliness,’ but it’s better than drinking alone!” I drove my mom near a nervous breakdown so had to stop doing that, but at dinner, managed to work it in: my mom’s ask me how gymnastics practice was, and I’d look her in the eye and say “It’s better than drinking alone!” No wonder I was beaten. This was fun! I somehow managed to nail it despite listening to Ian Dury, Gary Numan, and the Boomtown Rats.
Shying, (abbreviated here as Shyin' ) is a perfectly cromulent word in English.
