I don't know if this is subtle or not but as women, we are taught how to walk to our cars in pairs or a group at night, told not to have our face buried in our phones when walking alone and to be vigilant and aware of our surroundings. We are taught how to hold our keys in our hands, between our fingers for a make shift weapon. Don't dress revealing if we don't want the wrong type of attention etc. And yet, when something happens, no matter what we do or don't do... Law enforcement doesn't believe us!!
