Sometimes I think I might be the only person in the world who knows it is okay to send unwanted nagging calls to voicemail and delete unread any texts or emails about a subject that is already closed.

Wow, this sounds like my ex-husband. He loved making big romantic displays in public. Roses delivered to work, the biggest valentines card he could find, expensive jewelry sets that I HAD to wear even if I didn't like it. He chose my clothes and did my hair. He accused me of cheating with everyone I was friends with to the point that I was completely isolated. He convinced me my mom was flirting with him behind my back. He never physically hit me, but he'd push me around so I'd hurt myself because I'm so clumsy. He was 18 years older than me, and I was just trying to escape my tirant of a father and married worse (I was 20 years old). I left him before our second anniversary because he endangered our barely 1yo son's life during a fight one night. I was 22 and couldn't take it anymore.

Her parents' finances are NONE of his business. She has no obligation to tell anyone about that. Therefore, there is no lie. He just thinks his d**k will fall off because his GF will (she rightfully said it's not even sure) get some money. Stuff your weak egos where the sun doesn't shine and stop making crazy demands to women.
I'm disturbed that everyone seems to be focusing on the dress issue and not the s****l harassment.

I haven't learned much in my life, but I have learned that going without séx for one month due to stress, illness, grief, exhaustion, etc. does not cause the world to end, nor does it destroy a solid relationship if both parties are understanding of why intimacy is taking a back burner. And intimacy should take a back burner sometimes. When your partner is navigating their own grief from losing both parents at once AND trying to be the de facto parent for their (also grieving) child sibling, whinging that they haven't boned you for a month just shows your immaturity and lack of empathy.
I have never had a child. One time I had a very late ectopic pregnancy that needed an emergency cut like a c section. For a long time after, at least several weeks, I couldn't even lift a half full kettle. I would have found it impossible to physically take care of a newborn - I don't just mean it hurt too much to do things, I literally couldn't do them. My sister's MIL is much like OP's, so I stayed with my sister for the first few months after her first child until she was strong enough to stand up for herself. One favourite memory though was the time my BIL came home from work to find me arguing with his mother and she tried to get his sympathy by walking out in tears saying she would walk home if no one wanted her. BIL called her back, saying not to be like that, she smirked running back - where he promptly gave her 20 euros and said at least take a taxi, then closed the door on her. I knew for sure he had my sister's back then.

Oh jeez, that went pretty much exactly as it seemed like it would. After her “insecurities “ had caused “problems in the past “ too so she was apparently shamed out of previous suspicions. Chances are good it’s happened before so I hope she gets some help to rebuild her ability to trust. Something about her update just seems like she has that ice cold anger going.
"High value" as in "I could make a fortune if I euthanize his miserable a$$ and sell his organs on a black market"

No one tells the truth, because everyone is scared of being judged for it. They don't tell you how horrible it really is because they don't want others to think they hate being parents, or worse, hate their children. When you don't "love" parenthood and everything that comes with it, you're a bad parent. Also, you can't have an opinion if you haven't gone through it yourself, and telling other people how horrible it really is, may cause psychological damage to your children. So no one speaks up, everyone just accepts their fate and let themselves believe in the lie that having children is the best thing that could happen to a person. (*horrible is used for this context, parenthood is not horrible for everyone)
