Because a great many fans ARE horrified. Loosey Goosey is right - football matches are designed the way they are for a reason. Longer than 15 mins and it's genuinely not good for the players. We also don't want football changed just because one country decided that they wanted a half time show. The match is the show and doesn't require poncing up.

I'm sorry, but that's not true. It was very much adopted by that part of the world but it did not originate there.
In older English, horse was used as an intensifier for plants or objects that were large, coarse, or powerful.
