Thank you. Been noticing so far there's a few people who get all up in arms over not being responded to immediately, and using money or gifts as an attempt to leverage those expectations over me and my daughter. It really does put a foul feeling receiving anything from these people. We have said thank you when we get to the message or have time to call. But it seems in their minds it was left too late. But I'm not going to allow them to make us feel like c**p just because of how they feel in their heads. We are okay. We are thankful. If someone wants to throw a toddler sized tantrum, then that's on them.

Not bending to my mom's every demand and offer. Started today. She called me. I didn't pick up the phone. I'm just not in the mood to listen to her talk at me for an hour about what she did last night and the usual "updates" of her work drama, and her going on about her ex from 3 years ago. Then her asking me about my day but then cut me off when I go on talking about something else more interesting than daily itineraries. It makes her mad when I don't answer just because she calls while I'm technically "free" to answer. But I need to be firm with my boundaries.

I'm also going to grow oyster mushrooms and I'm completely obsessed with the sounds the mushrooms make in the videos. Extremely interesting. I live in a country with the right to roam and I have collected magic mushrooms from nature myself because growing them is illegal. It's unlikely that the police would be very interested anyway, they have more important things to do. Like last summer I was lying on the grass under the influence of marijuana and the police only wished me a safe evening. Illegal here, but the cops take it kindly.

Mushrooms are so cool! I've grown a variety of oysters, some reishi (they needed more humidity than I could give them), and some magic ones too. I'm actually getting my partner some lions mane spawn as a gift soon, since they're so delicious and we've been binging on that lately! I'm so excited for you, they're super cool.

I've been making fun New Year's resolutions for a long time. Next year I'm going to buy a mushroom growing kit, try beetroot soda, I tried Punch needle works and I'm going to continue doing them. I'm learning Latin, I'm taking a course where you can build your own camera obscura. I add a couple of hours of exercise (now 5-6 hours a week to 8-9 hours) and continue exploring different food cultures. Instant noodles are not healthy, but I plan to try one special one a month. (buldag 3xspicy has already been tried and it exceeds my limit in tolerance of hot food). I also try to stretch my comfort zone by being more spontaneous and social. Such easy things and you won't feel bad if you can't stick to them. Edit: Oh, I cut myself a bob and since my hair is wavy now I have a lovely new hairstyle. With long hair, in the winter I look like the bassist of a rock band from the 80s with my dry, frizzy hair that no amount of conditioner has been enough for, but not anymore! Happy new year to all pandas!!!
