My shift was over I turned off my lane light, we had a swinging candy displayed that would block the lane & latched the chain. A woman squeezed past the display ducked under the chain & started unloading her cart. I went home.

LOTR The Two Towers midnight showing. We got hit with a terrible ice storm. One customer said he should get a discount because & I quote "I had to drive here in this weather".

I had an old lady like that one time. She wanted her groceries in paper bags (which was fine), she said they couldn't be heavier that 10lbs each because she'd had surgery doctors orders (also fine). Started scanning, put two cans of soup (normal regular sized cans) in a bag; she then told me it would be to heavy for her.

While I of course follow the weather reports & warnings, I also closey monitor my cat. If she's lounging around I stay cautiously optimistic, if she's hiding I know I should be too.

After he got out 19 year old me married him & moved there with him. Talk about culture shock that I never got over. So much racism & hate not only did they hate anyone who wasn't white, they hated any white person who wasn't born in America. Looking at me yes I'm a white girl however my entire family is mixed with any & everything, in addition my Grandmother was an immigrant. Everyone was very poor, & hateful. One time my best friend & her husband came to visit. We went bowling we were there for a whole 10 minutes when the police showed up. The owner of the bowling alley called the police on my friends husband because he's black. Worst 7 years of my life. Now I live in the southeast I love it.

Amazing creatures. They hang vertically in the sea to rest. They travel up to feed at night. Known for an odd coincidence to be found beached when an earthquake is imminent. No one has proven it or come up with a satisfactory explanation.

I couldn't agree more. I was raised that a pet is a lifetime commitment, part of the family (not "my" child but a member nonetheless). My first cat that I adopted when I was an adult moved with me from my home state to my ex-husbands home state, to the state I finally settled in. She lived to be 15 and was well traveled & well loved.

I was washing dishes at my grandmas house during a thunderstorm. They have a giant window about 8 feet to the right of the sink.

While I was washing the dishes lightning came through the window (didn’t break the window) and hit the sink right as I took my hands out of it.

I flipped and got my grandma. She calmed me down and said to finish the dishes cus lightning never strikes twice. As she said that lighting came right through the window again and hit the same sink. (Maybe 10 min after the first strike).

We both left the room immediately and got grandpa to shut the sink off.
