I live next to Muslim community in my (non muslimic) country and have a lot of friends there. 90 percent of the women CHOOSE it. And of those 100% feel very offended that most other people think they're a victim and that their husbands/fathers force them. Same btw in a lot of muslimic countries. They aren't all just victims. They are PROUD muslimas that follow their religious and cultural believes with their hearts.

It is wrong to harass people with unsolicited health advice. You think fat people don't *know* they're fat? In what way is it helpful to make me feel like I can't leave the house without being covered with a sack so the delicate eyes of the 'normal' people don't have to be offended by my hideous body? Because that is *exactly* the message that gets sent. And telling fat people how 'worried' you are about them justs makes us feel worse about ourselves. Then I go and eat my emotions. Because how do you think I got fat? Severe emotional damage! Oh, and don't forget genetics. Because it's a lot easier for some people to gain weight than others. I know I speak for a lot of fat people when I say that we don't want your 'worry.' Just let us and our doctors worry about it. Sending the message that our bodies aren't worthy of love until they fit some future shape that they may *never* fit is one of the most toxic things I can think of.
