For me, it HAS to be Ellen making that joke to Dakota Johnson about not being invited to her party, which led to that very humbling call out and eventual cancellation of her entire career.

Prince Andrew thinking that BBC interview would clear his name is the gold standard for backfires. He really tried to use a Pizza Express in Woking as a legal alibi.

Remember when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMAs? Yeah, that didn’t go as planned.

This is a street taken on a foggy morning. Nothing special right?
This photo was taken on March 19th, 2020 shortly after the Coronavirus was declared a pandemic and everyone was told to stay home to help slow the spread. I was an essential worker so I still had to go into the office.
This is usually a very busy area and to see it completely empty like this was surreal. Being foggy and gloomy outside only added to the feeling of the kind of situation the world was in. I’ve never seen usually busy streets empty like that before.

My grandma's dog tried to crawl in the casket with her.
He's a 200lb Saint Bernard.
Edited to add: The problem was that he nearly knocked the casket over.

We were at a crematorium service for a family friend. The family had picked a soft, classical piece for the final commendation as the curtains closed. Someone in the AV booth clearly clicked the wrong file on the computer because instead of classical music, the opening chords of "Highway to Hell" started blasting through the speakers. It only played for about four seconds before they cut it, but the sudden silence afterward was deafening.

I ate a Hershey's "chocolate" bar. What. The. Hell.
How do you Americans actually like that? It tastes so cheap and vomity I had to spit it out.

Your friendly local funeral home is really owned by a giant multinational corporation and that nice funeral director is trying to upsell you because he works on commission.

There is very little we can do for seriously mentally ill, demented, or encephalopathic patients. They don’t get better and there is no point of return in mental illness.

It was about myself. I’m one of identical triplets, and we are pretty well known around the city we live in, (have been involved in local music and a ton of community arts initiatives over the years).
The rumor though is that we aren’t triplets at all, just one person pretending to be three different people. I don’t know who started it, but it was because we were all spread so thin we were rarely out together. Since folks just being introduced only ever saw one of us at a time, the rumor grew.

For Australia it would be Ben Roberts Smith. Newspapers and television programs raised points about the possibility of him committing war crimes. He sues them and loses. He appeals the decision and lost again.
He was then arrested and formally charged with committing war crimes.
