And in the case of Rec, I think you're SUPPOSED to feel sympathy for the antagonist; it's actually pretty common. I also doubt there's a conscious intention to make horror antagonists look like someone with disabilities (at least not in most cases). Let's be real here; it's cheaper to put a human in a costume and makeup than it is to create them from CG, so they're often going to be at least somewhat humanoid.
