Yeah. Used to have to also say a prayer before we could eat. This was elementary btw. In Junior High we had to also stand for the national anthem every Monday. Now in high school, we still listen to the pledge every day and have a moment of silence. I kinda understand the moment of silence, just because of the amount of violence that happens on a daily basis in the US.

When my Dane was a puppy, we had just made some food and set it on our deep freezer (we don't have a lot of counter space, so we use the freezer). Left it alone for a few minutes, came back, and oh look. Guess who has his feet on the freezer, eating food? Dane puppy. Since then we use an unfolded X-pen to block off the kitchen so our dogs don't eat the whole kitchen. Seem like these people need something similar

My mom used to have a sewing room that was just FILLED with fabric. She has ADHD so clean workspaces don't exist in our house, so there was just fabric everywhere in that room (floors, spilling of the closet, her table, in boxes, etc.). I made a huge fort out of a bunch of fabric, and it was big enough for my great Dane to fit in it (partially). One of my fondest memories.

Yay!! I don't remember the last time my hair was it's natural color. My mom dyed her hair so I was allowed to have temporary dye in my hair all the time. Since probably 2nd or 3rd grade. Had a few friends that said their parents would never allow that. These friends were 11 or 12.

My go-to is" oh, thank you for asking, but I already have plans". If they push and ask what the plans are: I say, "They're private plans". They can take that to mean whatever they want. What I am REALLY saying is: I would rather use hot sauce as eyedrops than attend your function/party. And what I'm REALLY doing is: putting on a fresh pair of warm jammies (put them in the dryer for a few minutes - heaven!), making a cup of tea & getting my cozy blankie so I can lay on my pillow laden daybed and catch up on all my BritBox shows.

That I was groomed into a sexual relationship by some old creep and went through a whole f*****g court case throughout my final two years of high school and the only reason the police didn't tell them is because they thought it would take two years to complete the investigation and get to court and I'd be 18 by then - and they were right. The story was on the news and everything and I remember mum reacting to it, nerve wracking stuff.
