My 86 year old grandmother just passed away this year, she had been suffering for a decade with declining health and just stopped breathing peacefully one morning. The most upsetting part was hearing that her caregiver immediately jumped in to give her CPR. I cannot even fathom what her life would have been like trying to recover from such intense intervention if she had lived. I loved her more than anything, why would she have to suffer for our benefit of having her just a little longer?
